Title:Twenty-Five and Pregnant (Or, The One Where Patrick Hates His Life...Seriously!), 1
Author: heartsdesire456
Rating: up to NC-17
Pairing:Patrick/SURPRISE... except for the fact that i've advertised it already, lol
POV:3rd
Summary:MPREG!!!Patrick wasn’t born completely normal. He was a man. He had been born with full male parts on the outside… however, he also had an ovary and uterus. Patrick had always known that some day the ovary and uterus would cause problems, because they were organs that had no use in his body other than influencing his hormones to act up. He knew that he should have them removed, but he figured he could file ‘sexual reassignment surgery’ under his mid-life crisis… not his quarter-life speed bump... if only he knew what was waiting for him ahead of time
Disclaimer:Obviously, Patrick is a man and men cant get pregnant... if that ever changes, then someone tell me and i'll update this disclaimer, but until then...
Author Notes:Must. Sleep. NAO!! Okay, so this chapter is huge and i stayed up late writing it so i could post it for you... you BETTER comment!!! Unless... you know... it sucks *hopes it doesnt suck*

Patrick walked into the living room while Travis, Pete, and Ashlee were eating dinner and Bronx was chewing on Hemmy’s leash… still attached to his collar. Travis looked up and choked on his food. “Patrick! Tell me you did NOT drive here!” he demanded, glaring.

Patrick rolled his eyes and walked over, settling beside Travis slowly. “Fine, I wont tell you.” he said, then sighed. “So, I came over because you guys are pretty much on your own now with recording.” he said. “Today, the I felt the baby turn, so I’m pretty sure the doctor is either gonna put me in the house after my appointment tomorrow, or else tell me it’s nearly time to take the baby.” he said. “I’m only seven weeks from due.” he said.

Ashlee smiled. “Aww, you felt him turn?” she asked. “I felt it when Bronx turned, but he said I might wouldn’t.

Patrick snorted. “Oh yeah, I felt him turn alright. I was holding my plate on my stomach while eating in front of the TV and his ass bulging up knocked the plate off.” he said, and Ashlee laughed.

Travis smiled. “So it’s gonna be soon, huh?” he asked, smiling.

Patrick nodded. “About damn time! I’ve only been pregnant FOREVER!” he said, groaning. “And! If they take him soon, I might not get those stretch marks I KNOW are coming in the last few weeks.” he said.

Travis just smiled. “So… I’ll drive you home in a minute, but we need names.” he said. “We haven’t seriously talked names.” he added.

Pete grinned. “Pete the…” he actually had to think. “Fourth!” he said, and Ashlee rolled her eyes.

“You had to THINK about what comes after ‘the third’?” Patrick asked, and just shook his head. “And no! I wouldn’t curse my son that way!” he said.

Travis shrugged. “As long as its not… terrible, I’m really fine with whatever you want.” he said.

Patrick snorted. “Yeah right! If I pick something bad, you’ll just change the birth certificate while I’m still unconscious.” he said.

Travis just snickered. “Damn straight.” he said, and Patrick smiled up at him. “I don’t know… maybe something classic?” he said, smiling. “I mean, neither of us have very ‘weird’ names, and no offense Pete and Ashlee, but there are enough celebrities naming their kids weird shit.” he said, but smiled. “Even if Bronx Mowgli is TOTALLY the coolest name ever.” he said, and Ashlee laughed.

Pete sat up. “Hey!” he pointed at Patrick and narrowed his eyes. “No, you cant name him Han.” he said, and Patrick tried and failed to act like he hadn’t been thinking it.

Travis snickered. “Han?” he asked Patrick, who blushed.

“Okay, Han Solo is the coolest Star Wars character, dude! Even if you don’t want to, I’m allowed to THINK it!” Patrick said, crossing his arms.

Travis slung his arm around Patrick’s shoulders. “Eh, if there were twins I’d totally not say no to Luke and Leia, so I don’t blame you.” he said, and Patrick beamed at him.

“Dude, that would be so cool.” he said, but snorted. “If you’d knocked me up with twins, I’d probably have murdered you by now.” he said, and Travis grinned, hand going to Patrick’s belly.

Patrick had the heating pad underneath his back when Travis sat down. “Ouch, you okay?” Travis asked, sitting down and pulling Patrick’s legs into his lap. He started massaging his feet and legs, knowing Patrick’s tiny body wasn’t handling being eight months pregnant well.

Patrick moaned. “You are so amazing at that. Seriously, if music ever fails, go into massage therapy.” he said, and Travis snickered. He pulled his laptop on his lap again. “Okay… names.” he said, looking at the screen. “Nothing too common, but nothing too out there, right?” he asked.

Travis nodded. “Only a boy name. I wont name my son Alice or something.” he said, and Patrick rolled his eyes.

“Duh. Okay, call me crazy, but I’m looking at names by category and I’m thinking… not any of these. ‘Gothic Names’ suggests Lucifer.” he said, and Travis cracked up, laughing. “January.” he added, nodding as he fought a smile. “Shadow. Tempest, oh yeah, name our kid that!” he said. “Wolf?! Who names their kid Wolf?” he asked, and Travis snickered.

“Dude, get off the Gothic names. Neither of us run around in black with dyed hair and blame makeup, do we?” he asked, and Patrick snickered.

“Okay, um…Dare we look at Disney names?” he asked, cringing.

Travis smiled. “Why not? I doubt we’ll use them, but we should at least try.” he said, and Patrick smiled. He looked at Patrick’s face and cringed. “No?” he asked, and Patrick nodded hastily.

“What kind of parents would name their kid after Winnie the Pooh?!” he asked, shaking his head. “Oh yeah, lets be careful with initials, okay? I had to live with mine for so damn long its sad.” he said.

Travis smiled. “I liked it. I mean, we can totally put Vaughn on the birth certificate, but I liked Martin.” he said, and Patrick rolled his eyes.

“Only you.” he said, then looked at the screen again. “Literary Characters?” he asked.

Travis nodded and smiled. “Go for it.” he said.

“Oooh! Travis can we name him Aragorn?!” he asked, smiling. Travis just looked at him and he sighed. “Yeah, I know.” he said, blushing. “That’s mean and shit.” he said, scrolling down further. “Oh my God!” he said, snickering. “Brendon’s name means ‘Prince’!” he said, snickering.

Travis laughed. “NEVER tell him that or he’ll make us call him ‘Prince Brendon.’” he said.

“Hmm… How do you feel about Lysander?” Patrick asked, looking genuinely curious.

Travis hummed. “Doesn’t sound too bad. We can consider it.” he said, and Patrick nodded. “We shouldn’t actually name him until after he’s born. It’s bad luck, plus he might come out looking like something else.” he said.

Patrick raised an eyebrow. “Bad luck how?” he asked.

Travis cringed. “In the ‘don’t count your chickens…’ way.” he said, and Patrick nodded, rubbing his stomach absently, because he certainly didn’t want that to happen.

“OH MY GOD!” Patrick suddenly burst into laughter. “You know what ‘Peter’ means?” he asked, and Travis shook his head. “A stone.” he said, and Travis laughed. “He’d sure dumb as one.” Patrick said, then looked for more names. “Hmm. Rhett?” he asked. Travis just shrugged. “No, tell me what you think?” Patrick said.

“I like it well enough. Like I said, I’m just considering them all. When we see him, we’ll know.” he said confidently, and Patrick smiled at him.

“Oh!” Patrick smiled. “How about Westley?” he asked, batting his eyelashes. “I love Princess Bride.” he said, and Travis smiled but nodded. “Totally under consideration!” he said, smiling. “Mythological names next?” he asked, and Travis nodded.

“Of course.” he said, and Patrick smiled. They continued to look for names for a while. Patrick yawned and Travis smiled.

“Come here.” he stood up, put down the laptop, then scooped Patrick up, despite his arguing.

“Travis, your knee-”Patrick started, but Travis shook his head.

“It’s okay today. That was a fluke.” he said, then easily carried Patrick to his bedroom. He lay Patrick down on his bed and pulled the covers over him. “Get some rest. It’ll do you and our baby good.” he said, smiling at him.

Patrick rolled his eyes. “I have to brush my teeth and shit, you dope.” he said, and Travis smiled. Patrick stood up and yawned, but stopped, hand on his back. “Stay?” he asked, eyes wide as he held Travis’s hand loosely.

Travis nodded, smiling softly. “Anything for you guys.” he said, and Patrick smiled.

Travis slid into bed behind Patrick, not touching him but for the arm around him to splay on his stomach. He left a few inches between them, but Patrick rolled over, so his stomach was touching Travis’s which made Travis smile. “Travis…” Patrick bit his lip. “I want the baby to have your last name.” he said softly, eyes honest.

Travis frowned. “But- What about the media?” he asked. “I mean… what happened when you get seen with a baby without your last name?” he asked.

Patrick shrugged. “The same works for you.” he said, then reached out and touched Travis’s cheek. “I want our son to have your name.” he said. “I don’t- I don’t even know why. I like my last name well enough. I just… I feel like he is supposed to be a McCoy.” he said.

Travis smiled and sighed as Patrick’s thumb caressed his cheek. “I secretly always wanted that.” he said, and Patrick smiled. Travis suddenly felt a stab as he realized he was happier at that moment than he had been in ages… but it couldn’t ever last. “Patrick, I- I need to leave.” he said, pulling his face away. “I’m sorry I just- I cant-” he shook his head, and Patrick frowned.

“Travis, no, wait.” Travis sat up, hands in his face, only to feel a small, warm hand on his cheek. He turned his head and looked into deep blue eyes. “Don’t run away from me.” he said, then leaned in, kissing Travis softly, light enough that he could pull away.

“Patrick, don’t do this to my heart. You cant- you cant understand how I feel.” he said softly, his voice crackling. “Every- every time you get close it kills me, because I know you don’t love me.” he said, looking up at Patrick’s eyes.

Patrick was shocked to see tears in his eyes. “Don’t.” he said, thumb sweeping away a tear as it slid down Travis’s long black eyelashes under his right eye. “I-” Patrick bit his lip, and felt a swell in his heart. “I’m not sure if I love you or not… but I’ll never find out if you don’t let me in.” he said, leaning in to wrap his arms around Travis’s shoulders, head going to his chest. “You just… I know it hurts you, and I hate it… but I want this so bad it hurts.” he whispered, voice cracking. “Just… I wont kiss you again, but- but hold me.” he asked, voice strained.

Travis sighed, but laid down, one hand on Patrick’s back, the other resting on the side of his belly. “Anything for you.” he whispered, and Patrick pressed as close as he could with his belly in the way.

Travis woke up first and snuck out of bed. He kissed Patrick and then Patrick’s belly, before leaving to go to the studio. Travis got there early and found Matt already there.

“Hey Travis! Got away from the wife?” he asked, and Travis just cringed. “I’m sorry.” Matt said, “I don’t mean to offend your or whatever.” and Travis sighed.

“Mat… you want the truth?” he asked, and looked at him. “You’ve been my best friend for a long time…” he sighed. “I’m in love with him.” he said softly.

Matt’s eyes widened. “What? Shit, does he know?” he asked.

Travis nodded. “I- I’ve been in love with him for… God, a long fucking time now.” he said. “I just…” he cringed. “I’ve suffered so bad the last little while.” he said. “The night we got drunk and our son was conceived, I had no idea it was a drunken one-night accident!” he said, and Matt’s eyes widened. “I just… I thought it was liquid courage and that I’d just fallen asleep with the love of my life in my arms and everything was perfect… until I wake up alone and cant get a word from him for three months.” he said.

“Dude… that’s shitty of him.” he said.

Travis shrugged. “He didn’t know.” he sighed. “He wasn’t going to tell me about my son, but it slipped… I wouldn’t leave him alone so we make up.” he said. “The night- the night before he left for that last tour…” he bit his lip. “That night we had sex again… and I was SO sure this was it. I mean, I’d been living under him for months… and I again fall asleep with my heart so glowy and shit, and just… he’s ‘The One’ for me, I know it… and it was beautiful, and I fell asleep with him there and I KNEW that it was where I wanted to fall asleep every night for the rest of my life.” he said. Matt was shocked to see tears in Travis’s eye. “But it was the same. ‘Lets not get awkward about last night, huh?’ and then he leaves.” he sighed. “I- I told him that I’m in love with him and then he understood… and we agreed to just… just be good friends.” he said, shrugging. “But then in the studio the day you were getting bitched out by him he kissed me… and then last night he asked me to sleep in his bed and hold him, only then he kissed me when I tried to get up… and when I said no, he told me he wanted it… but he couldn’t fall in love with me if I didn’t let him close to me… and now I feel like I’m gonna get my heart broken again, and I’m so scared.” he said softly.

“Ah, give him a cha-” Matt’s reply was cut off as Travis’s phone went off just as Disashi ran in, yelling his name as he sprinted down the hall. Travis frowned in confusion and answered his phone, which had Pete’s number on the caller I.D.

“Yeah? Pete?” he asked just as Disashi burst through the door yelling his name.

In both ears he heard that last news he ever wanted to hear. “Travis, it’s Patrick… something- something bad happened.” Pete said, voice dull and lifeless.

“Travis! I saw the news on TV! Is Patrick alright?!?” Disashi asked, eyes full of concern.

Pete’s voice broke. “I don’t know all the details, but I- I don’t think It’s good.”

Travis just felt his heart stop and his world shatter all at once.
