i'm at the coffee shop, which is MAGICAL after so long without my beloved Gabey (my laptop is NOT named after anyone, i promise... the name just FITS him!)
And i'm listening to The Used and SUFFERING from my nobelness against downloading the leaked new album... i've held out with EVERY leaked album so far... but dude... it doesnt come out till SEPTEMBER and Jasmine tempted me so bad!
... i'mNOT gonna do it, because i feel like its cheating, but still its hard.
Man, i want to travel places one day, but the way things are now, Americans are being targeted by hate no matter where they go! Okay, i'm not saying bad about anybody's nationality and i have friends from plenty of other nations, but this morning i got a call from my best friend. Our friend Cody went to Europe touring with some band as their roady and he and a few others broke off and decided to go just explore europe because they've got money, but dont live rich, and wanted to like... just explore...
He came home because he was waiting for a train from France back to England and some english guys jumped him and two of his friends... and he said they were taunting them for being americans!
... Thats just... SO WRONG! I know my english friends on here will probably be pissed off at those guys for being assholes because it looks bad on those dude's parts!
They got yelled insults at them in France at one of the venues and then got their asses kicked by English men when they split from the band to go travel England!
Cody has a broken arm! THEY BROKE HIS ARM! Its like... so disgusting to think that not only do people have issues with people's races, sexuality, gender, and now its nationalities!
I'm not saying all european people are dicks, because one of my best friends is english and she's wonderfully nice, and yes, i'm sure it happens here with other people as well, because everywhere has assholes and this country has a ton of them.
... But it really hit home for me to hear that not only did they get their asses kicked, but they got treated like shit by waiters and stuff, and then one waiter was snobby and was all' oh, you're americans?' and they said 'no,we're canadian' and he STARTED BEING NICE!!!
I mean... dude... i know we dont have the best reputations but... idk. i guess it shouldn't be a shock to me really, but its more like it hit home.
Its like this past year in highschool when i was the victim of reverse discrimination because i'm white. A black teacher who has sued the school for being 'racists' gets away discriminating against white students. Its sick, because we're all supposed to be equal, and she claims that the schools unfair and then is unfair herself.
She made announcements for scholarship offers for a college and said she would help applicants fill out their applications well, and when i came to apply, she shoved a paper at me and said to go, like... PUSHED ME TO THE DOOR! only to talk to other people and find out that, not only did she sit down and go over it one on one with my two friends, she ALSO turned away my friend Clay, and then later i found out that she's got a lawsuit against the school for race discrimination, yet everybody, even other teachers, told me not to worry about it because she is openly discriminatory against whites, latinos, and our one native american student.
I mean... how fucked up is that?!
