“Lonnie, the Enchanted Woods! It’s so beautiful” Evie gasps, taking in the sight before them.
Lonnie blinks down her girlfriend in surprise. “Aren’t there trees on the Isle?”
The sapphire haired princess frowns, “Not really, we have the forbidden forest but well it is forbidden.”
The Autumn season was so much different in Auradon than the Isle. The leaves were changing into such vibrant colors just before they fell for the winter. The Isle was a dump, trash everywhere. What little grass managed to thrive was brown and brittle and the trees were practically dead.
Evie sniffs. Her face lights up in delight. It smells so warm and welcoming, nothing like the horrid rotten smell on the Isle.
Lonnie smiles and takes her hand and gives it a squeeze, “Come on. This is just the beginning.”
“Really? I can’t wait.” Evie grins from ear to ear, she reaches up and pulls Lonnie down for a sweet kiss.

Maya freezes, gripping tightly to Riley’s hand, “I don’t know about this Riles.”
Riley smiles, bringing her free hand to Maya’s cheek. “We talked about this, Maya. We finally agreed we were ready to tell our parents.”
“I know. I know, but I’m afraid,” Maya frowns, meeting Riley’s gaze, “what if they don’t accept, Riley? I don’t think I can deal with that.”
Riley holds Maya’s head in her hands, bringing them nose to nose. “Maya, they love us. I don’t think they’ll turn us away.” She leans in with a reassuring kiss.
Maya smiles, pressing their foreheads together. “You’re right. Let’s do this.”
“That’s my girl,” Riley takes Maya’s hand and pulls her forward before either of them succumbed to nerves.
“Everyone!” She draws the attention of her parents, her uncle Shawn and Katy, “we have an announcement.”
There was a pause before Shawn broke it, grinning ear to ear he extends a hand out to Cory.
“I told you they were finally ready,” he wiggles his fingers, “pay up.”
Cory laughs, grinning at the girls. “It’s about time.”
Maya clings to Riley, “You knew?”
Katy gives a reassuring smile, “Of course we did baby girl.”
“And we couldn’t be happier.” Topanga presses a kiss to each of the girls head.
Maya’s still terrified. Afraid this was all a dream and tomorrow she’d be right back in that hallway freaking out, but for now she accepts it. For now, everything was okay and that was all that mattered.
