Author Notes: Unbetaed all mistakes are my own. I hate titles...So...after tonight's episode I kind of couldn't help this little piece, especially after the little moment they had at the end.
When the two men have excused themselves for the night, Sally phases into Aidan’s room. It was unintentional really. She had originally wanted to go for a nightly walk, but something drew her to the vampires bedroom. He sleeps soundly, an arm over his face as though blocking out the world. She thinks he looks so peaceful, almost like he doesn’t have a care in the world.
“Sally you need to stop doing this,” his groggy voice draws her attention and she stifles a giggle as his arm rises just slightly to stare at her.
“I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean too.”
He mumbles something and his eyes are covered once more. Sally suppresses a sigh and finds herself slowly moving towards the bed. Without a word she crawls into bed with him, framing herself into his side. This is the first time she’s been so bold since she’s become corporal, but a part of her has always wanted this. To be able to touch him and have him touch her in return. He doesn’t say anything at first, in fact he hasn’t moved once she lied down beside him and it worries her.
“Aidan?”
“Are you ready to talk?” he asked softly.
She shakes her head no, reaching out to remove the arm hiding his face from her. She should be used to it by know. Nowadays none of them come unscathed, but it still bothers her when she sees the burn marks on his skin.
“Aidan, what the hell happened to your face?”
He chuckles slightly as it’s a response he’s come to expect from the ghost, but shakes his head. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
She frowns, not liking that he’s thrown her earlier words back at her, “Oh you evil bastard.”
He simply offers a shrug in reply, “Goodnight Sally,” before she can utter a word, he’s thrown his arm around her shoulder and holds her to his chest. It still amazes her that she can actually touch things, it’s a feeling she’s missed. In all honestly, she wishes they had met under different circumstances. Maybe in a world where he hadn’t been turned and was born her her time period. They would have made the most interesting of pairs.
She places her hand over where his heart rest, wondering if it would beat as quickly as hers if they were still human. With a content sigh, she rests her head on his chest, nuzzling her face against the wife beater before she settled down enough to attempt to fall asleep.
