Of Vanilla and Cinnamon
Sharpay sighed for what felt the hundredth time as she turned in Jacob’s bed. It felt weird to be his room without him there but she needed to be a close to him as possibly despite his absence. She nuzzled her face against the pillow that was practically drowning in his scent. Sure it smelled like wet dog but it also smelled of vanilla and cinnamon, a combination she thought was rather weird for a guy but on Jacob it was such a wondrous smell. The bedroom door crept open and the blonde hide herself farther into the bed in fear. It would be rather awkward if she had to explain to Billy the reason he found her in Jacob’s bed instead of his son.
“Sharpay?” she nearly squealed in delight at the soft husky voice that belonged to Jacob.
The blonde sat up, meeting his chocolate eyes with a smile, “Jacob, you’re home.”
The teen looked behind him in a panic before he closed the door behind him, being sure to lock it. Slowly he approached the bed and sat on the edge farthest away from her.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair, “what are you doing here? Do you have any idea what could have happened if Paul was here?”
She pouted, “don’t you want to see me? I missed you.”
“That’s not what I meant. You know how the other’s feel about…how I’m supposed to feel about,” his brows knotted together trying to come up the most inoffensive word he could, he sighed again finally giving up, “bloodsuckers.”
The blonde frowned and stared down as her hands curled tightly around the comforter, “I didn’t choose this you know. Bella made me this way to save my life. I appreciate what she did for me but at the same time I can’t forgive her, at least not yet. You still love me right? The imprinting…it didn’t change because of my becoming a vampire did it?” her voice was almost desperate as she reached out for anything that could reassure her.
From her tone, Jacob could tell she was ready to simply tell him to destroy her if his love for her had change. His heart broke at the simply thought of destroying the beautiful blonde. He reached out and touched her cold shoulder, “my feelings haven’t change. From what I understand of the legends this has never happened before.” She shrugged, taking his large hand into her own and interlacing their fingers, meeting his gaze again. Jacob smiled, “I think you have a pretty nice plus for being a bloodsucker.”
Her nose scrunched up at the word but she otherwise said nothing about it, “and what’s that?”
“You get to give Blondie a run for her money as the most beautiful vampire in the world,” he laughed as Sharpay released his hand and pushed him full off the bed. He landed with in a heap on the floor with a loud thud.
The blonde looked over the edge of the bed down at him, “you my puppy need to lay off Rose. She’ll hurt you one day.”
Jacob scoffed as he settled himself down Indian style, “I’d like to see her try.”
“She doesn’t have too, I’d help her.” She stuck out her tongue.
Jacob laughed, “You’re not serious.” The blonde said nothing and he pouted, “Come on Sharpay, that isn’t cool.”
She simply grinned mischievously, focusing on her nails.
End.
