Revealing the Truth
She smiled nervously as she took a step away from the large teen, more than a little sure it wasn’t normal for someone to frequently sniff at another like that. It only brought back memories of the time Justin had ended up, as a werewolf when he had met a girl he had no idea was one. Alex shivered, it was amusing hen it happened to Justin but if that same scenario repeated, Alex wasn’t sure how she’d take it.
“Jacob, you’re not a werewolf are you?”
The teen’s eyes grew large and he quickly looked around, “How do you know about werewolves?”
“I know a lot,” she whispered conspiratorially, “I’m a wizard.”
Jacob laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck, “Well since the cats out of the bag, so to speak, I’m not really a werewolf. I’m a shape shifter that just happens to take the form of a wolf.”
Alex blinked, “Is there a difference?”
The teen nodded, “Yeah but I’d rather not get into it.”
“Right…” Alex smiled, leaning closer now feeling more at ease, “I won’t change into one if I kiss you will I?” She enjoyed the way Jacob laughed, it was wholehearted and the way he tilted his head back was adorable.
“No, you won’t change into one.”
Her smiled only grew and she moved a piece of hair back behind her ear as she closed the distance between them, “Good.”
