Just a Little Kiss
The party was already in full swing when he arrived, the room hotter than usual with the numerous bodies who were dancing and mingling amongst themselves. As John entered he could just see Jeff Hardy jumping down from the flight of stairs leading upstairs. The wrestler simple shook his head and hung his coat up with the others.
"I was beginning to worry you weren't going to show up."
John chuckled turning to face the woman; "I wouldn't miss this party for the word." He eyes the red and green clad woman, "Very festive Li. Now come 'ere!"
He engulfed the black haired woman into his arms for a big bear hug. She laughed, patting his back as he pulled her off her feet.
"Easy there John not so tight." Lita laughed, having missed the man.
Instantly putting here down, John gave her another once-over. "You're okay right? I didn't hurt ya or anything did I?"
She waved him off, "I'm fine. The babies fine."
He nodded and grinned, "So whose all here?"
"Everyone." She smiled slyly, "Randy's out back with Adam, Jay, Johnny, Dave and Hunter."
Blue eyes rolled, "Not this again Li."
She shrugged innocently, "I didn't do anything."
"Right...well I'll be out back if ya need me." He gave the former diva a peck cheek and walked pass her, just missing the little twinkle in her eyes as he vanished within the crowded room.
It seemed like hours passed, the drinks and food nearly gone by the time Lita came out in search of a certain pair of wrestlers. The duo stood side by side engrossed in a conversation for Adam, Jay, and Hunter. Johnny and Dave had just been pass in the arms of Melina and Maria respectively.
"Jay, honey," Lita called, leaning against the door. Jay stood by her side in an instant, a worried expression on his face. She waved off his concern in an instant, "I'm fine but we're almost out of drinks and food. Can you run to the store and get more?"
Jay smiled broadly, "Of course." He gave his wife a quick kiss before nodding to Adam and the two men left, Hunter trailing a bit behind seeking the warmth from inside.
"You two," she instructed, motioning them with her finger, "come with me. I need the two you carry some boxes up for me since Jay won't let me do anything." Lita rolled her eyes, moving back into the house.
The pair glanced at one another and followed, squeezing between numerous bodies as Lita weaved her way around them and up the stairs. They found her paused in front of her bedroom door, again, motioning for them.
"I need you both to carry these boxes of clothing down to the basement for me." She nodded into the room and Randy entered first. John stepped in after him, giving the room a once over.
"No problem Lita. We have this." Randy stated, reaching for the first box.
"Hold on that thought Randy," Lita sang cheerfully, "Look up."
The tall man froze; straightening to his full height and slowly glanced up to find himself standing up a string of mistletoe. John's eyes followed and groaned quickly turning to Lita, who simply smirked.
"You-"
"It's part of tradition boys. It's just a little kiss after all. No harm in that right?"
John rolled his eyes, "I thought it didn't imply to members of the same sex."
The pregnant woman scoffed, "Please, stop being a baby." She motioned him forward and John could see the little twinkle in the eyes.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair and taking a step towards Randy. The young man looked as through he were battling with himself on whether or not to commit to the tradition or flee.
"Lita, this is a pretty funny joke." Randy chuckled, though it didn't sound the least bit confidant as it usually did, "To think we'd actually..."
His sentence was cut short as John's lips crashed onto his. Randy stood frozen and unresponsive unsure what to do. The feeling to flee rose and his hands clenched at his side, fighting the urge to lash out from the shook. John rubbed his lips against the taller man's in a silent urge for him to respond, his tongue poking out to open the other man's lips. Randy's wall shattered as he slowly and insecurely responded.
Lita's smile grew; "well you two can just bring down the boxes later." She silently closed the door behind her, giving the pair time alone.
