Short Circuit
Damn Sylar. Damn him to hell! Elle cursed the man her head. If it hadn't been for him, she would be on a nice vacation somewhere. Not walking the streets searching for a way to fix her powers. Shakily she reached up touching her bandaged wound; a reminder of just how dangerous Sylar could be when he wanted someone's power.
Elle froze, leaning against the building with her arms wrapped around herself. She bit her bottom lip to hold in the cry that wanted to escape as her power short-circuited again. How much longer was she going to have to deal with this? Shocking her accidentally. She had to find Bennett. Despite their hostility, Noah was the only one she could see herself going to for help.
"Miss, are you ok?" A soft, concerned voice asked from behind and a strong hand came to rest on her shoulder.
For the first time in a long while, Elle flinched in fear. She could feel her power surging within and the man removed his hand with a yelp. Frightened blue eyes turned to the man. He was tall with his dark brown hair neatly combed, a pair of red tinted glasses were the only thing blocking the mans' eyes from sight.
"I'm sorry." She whispered her voice shaky.
"Are you all right?" The man asked, still cradling his hand.
She shook her head unsure what to say to the stranger, who was radiating more kindness then she deserved. He took another chance and reached out for her. The blonde took a step away from the outstretched hand.
"No, don't plea-..."
Elle's sentence cut short as pain raked her body once again. Her vision danced in and out of view and she could just make out the man’s eyes growing large from underneath those tinted glasses. She wondered what she must look like to him with blue electricity dancing around her body because of an ability out of her control. The pain was overwhelming and Elle found herself on her knees, just barely making out the man following her.
"Everything is going to be all right. You can trust me."
His words sounded so far away now and she wondered how he could help her. How could she trust someone she didn't know? She only trusted her father and he was now gone. Thanks to Sylar. She wanted to voice herself to the man but couldn't find the strength. His reassuring smile was the last thing she saw before she fell into darkness.
End.
