[Late Night]

It was dark when Ahio woke up. Funny, that. He didn't remember falling asleep, but the achyness in his body made him beleive that it was possible he'd passed out. He avoided moving. His mind slowly became less foggy, but still felt rather thick and heavy. If only he wasn't so hungry, he could have gone back to sleep.

Ahio groaned and slowly rolled over, wings carelessly flopped about. It was that sort of hunger that made you sick to your stomach, and if only there was the smallest snack to nibble on, you'd be ok. Twenty minutes went by as Ahio got himself together and managed to stand up. Take the stairs or fly to the street below? Stairs would be a lot of fumbling. Flying was more natural, he could do it in his sleep.

The angel opened the large bay window and flew. Weird, how he could see as plain as day; his night vision had always been crap. Ahio glided through the sky, looking and wincing at the clenching of his stomach. How long had he been asleep?

He saw a plump looking figure walking the street below. A restless old man walking off his sleeplessness. Like a large eagle, Ahio circled, watching, teeth aching. Without any thought he dove and was on the man, sinking large canines into his throat. Ahio drank the blood greedily, crushing the poor old man with his trippled strength. He was dead before the angel had drained him.

Ahio left him on a bench (no need to litter after all), and feeling a little better, continued on to find the next morsel.
