Christian was in the lobby of the hotel, sitting at the window and just looking out at the snow, hating it passionately.

He wasn't overly stressed about being stuck here... )

Arthur sulked his way into the lobby, really starting to feel the pang being separated from one's friends can bring. Finding an equally lonely looking young man, he decided to seek his company.

“Hello.”

Christian sat up a bit straighter, as was his habit, and smiled at Arthur.

"Hi."

In reaction to Christian’s reaction, he also straightened and smiled and just to guarantee an extra-good first impression, retied the sash of his dressing gown.

“I’m Arthur Dent. New arrival around these parts. What’s your story?”

Christian smiled, holding out his hand. "Christian Markelli. Nice to meet you. "I just arrive last night, still getting used to everything."

I am down in the lobby again, trying to decide where I should go or if I should just wander. Few places I know to go. And I'll need to do wash soon, what with both Boromir and I. I could do his too, since he's disturbed all the time by my inability to sleep. Not a direct trade, but something to help make up for it.

There's a man sitting in the lobby and I give him a nod. He seems rather unhappy about something. It could be anything.

"Hello." I nod and greet, still not sure of my plans.

Christian looked up and smiled, nodding in return.

"Hello."

"Not to bother you, but is there a problem?" Perhaps not--unless the problem was whatever he was looking at outside.

Likely I should leave these things alone, since I myself am so new here. I don't know what help I'd be anyway, just... habit to ask.

Christian's mind slid over to the other night when he had called Aaron's house again, his face falling for a moment before he shook his head.

"No, no, I'm fine. I just...I hate the winter. Too much snow."
