Christmas Eve was one of Peter's favourite times of year. The whole month, actually, was one that he enjoyed immensely. He liked the lead up to the holiday with all the lights, the shops decorated, buying a tree and decorating it with the family. Sure, he hadn't done it very much with Walter ever since his mother had died, but he had fond memories nevertheless.
This year, with Etta in the village, it was like Peter had the opportunity to do everything he used to do back when he was a kid. All three of them had picked out the tree, a real tree, and brought it home, decorating it until they all thought it was perfect. Hot chocolate, cookies, and other festive things were baked and made with Etta, too. And of course, there were movies to watch.
Now, on Christmas Eve, there were some gifts already wrapped under the tree. There were, of course, some presents not under there quite yet as Santa would be coming some time when Etta was asleep. Elf was about to start playing on the TV as the popcorn was popped. Peter had a Santa hat on as he sipped on hot chocolate, smiling like a bit dope.
