There wasn't much one could do with Apothecary supplies to make a Christmassy display in the window, but Draco did his best. There was a cauldron atop a burner with hot chocolate simmering inside its belly. The whole shop smelled like chocolate, much to the owner's delight. He sipped from a snowman-shaped mug between tinsel and fairy light

Kil ambles in with a small smile. "Not fair... bribing potential customers is my gig..." she jokes.

"Never said I was an upstanding citizen above stealing ideas from his colleagues," Draco asked with a smile and slurpy-sip from his mug. "Would you like a hot drink?"

[kilrenko]

"I'd love some hot chocolate, thank you," Kil says with a smile.

Draco ladled hot chocolate into a mug, careful not to drip. "Are you out shopping, or just bored?" he asked and handed the mug to her. "Marshmallows and such should be making the way back here in a moment."

[kilrenko]

"Shopping, definitely," she replies with a smug little smile. "I have one Christmas gift to give. Well, there are other people I should get things for, but only one is special.

"Do you have anything that could make a rose last forever ... and at the same time gild the tips of the flower and leaves? Or anything that would do each of those separately?"

(ooc: She's thinking of something like this, but done with magic)

"There are a few options, yes. A stasis spell might be your best option," he said. "Are you interested in real gold for the latter?"

[kilrenko]

"Yes," Kil nods. "Definitely. Gold being a romantic thing... jewelry for example."

Draco grinned. "Ah, someone is lucky to have such a creative...gift giver," he said. "Yes, it's possible, and not too terribly difficult. When would you like it by? Besides before Christmas Eve."

"Mmm, perhaps the Monday before ... say the Twenty-Second? Does that give you enough time?"

Draco nodded. "I can work with that very well. Would you prefer to pick out the rose to be used, or shall I?"

[kilrenko]

"I'll go pick one out at the flower shop now," Kil smiles.

"Works for me." Draco popped a marshmallow in his mouth with a smile.

"What made you think of the idea? It's definitely creative."

[kilrenko]

"There's one in Antiquitus, but it's either solid gold or gilt. But it feels to me like cheating a little to give it to her from the shop, you know?" She takes a deep drink of her hot chocolate.

"Fair enough," he said with a nod. "I'll be sure to take extra care with this project."

[kilrenko]

"Thank you," Kil smiles, setting down the cocoa. "I appreciate it. I'll be right back with the flower."

"Take your time," he said. "I'll be here for awhile yet."
