Case of the Mondays (OTA - gentle tag to Remy)
Hale wasn't having the best of days. The police station was under-manned today apparently due to a string of food poisoning that Hale suspected was from the rash of 'pranks' being done in the city. It was fairly harmless except it made a lot of the police officers stuck to their toilet seats. It also made Hale a very busy Chief of Police.
He left a store that wanted to make a complaint about spray paint vandalism and headed toward the next call - two people were apparently having a very loud lovers quarrel that was starting to escalate. As he rounded the corner, he saw the two. The girl started pushing the man and so it was time to break it up.
Hale tried to get in between. "Woah now, let's all settle down and - " The girl pushed hard. She had meant to push her boyfriend, but Hale got in the way instead. Hale hadn't quite been ready for the push and stumbled back, only to get tripped by the boyfriend's foot and then landed with a loud crash into a table at the Tea Emporium. Everything on the table had flown, too. The couple seemed shocked and the sudden disaster made them look at each other. They apologized, told each other they were sorry. 'I love you's' were exchanged and then they left arm in arm... and left Hale groaning on the ground with a table cloth over him.
