It had been awhile since something had attacked the village. Sure there had been weirdness, it wouldn't be Haurvatat without that, but zombies, killer fog, or anything else the village wanted to throw at them not so much. If there was one thing that Buffy knew well, it was that The Powers That Be, liked to make you think all was well and then BAM mess up your life. So, she was going to be proactive and get some training in. Plus, it helped being a distraction from knowing that Faith was pregnant again.
