It probably shouldn't have come as a surprise to Molly when she'd noticed that not only Murphy had gone but Carlos as well. As much as Molly would have liked to see where that went with him, she was pragmatic enough to know that a Warden and a wizard with the Doom of Damocles over her head would never work out. Carlos wasn't a head up the ass Council member but that didn't stop the difficulties he would have had because of her. Even if they'd kept it what happened in the village stayed in the village, it had it's share of problems. Maybe this was Fate's way of saying don't be stupid. Kind of like the time a daughter from the future came. That was a wake up to always USE PROTECTION. This was just a different kind of wake up call.
Of course that didn't mean that Molly wasn't at the bars dancing, drinking (and oh hell yes using protection) it just meant that she was seeing the village more of a vacation like Vegas instead of a place to maybe learn a life lesson or make meaningful connections. She tightened her coat around her and headed toward the bakery to indulge in some hot chocolate and a couple of apple muffins.
