A Good Day for Practice (ota - dual pup post)

Feb 02, 2014 16:24

It was quite a beautiful day outside and Robin decided to make the most of it. The park seemed like a good enough spot as he let his dog, Lina, run around and amuse herself. He sat on a bench under a large oak tree and was whittling away at some arrows. While he could go buy some at the dojo, Robin enjoyed making his own. Fortune rewarded those who worked hard. It was also calming and reminded him of home.

Robin had a sort of apprentice today with him. Merlin was eager to learn some fighting styles in the hopes that he could bring them back home to Camelot. Robin was aware of how Arthur felt about magic and the whole debacle last time and he was happy to help the young lad out.

Merlin was a bit farther away from where Robin was. He had a bow in his hand and several arrows in a bin beside him. Off in the near distance was a target which he was using for practice. To keep things safe, Merlin placed boundary spell around him. His arrows would not venture out of the area so no one was in danger of being hit by any strays. You could, however, enter into the space on your own.

Merlin pulled back on the string of the bow and shot an arrow. It flew, at least, but still missed the target by a few feet. He frowned a little and hoped no one had seen that.
