Shave Ice - OTA

The heat was out and it was perfect timing for Kamekona to unveil his second business in the village. The shrimp truck was doing good, but as always, he wanted to expand and increase his brand awareness. So he decided to go back to his roots. Shave ice. Shave ice was not a snow cone even though tourist thought so. In Kamekona's opinion, shave ice was much more delicious and definitely Hawaiian. He was near the beach, though not quite on the sand. His shrimp truck was off in the distance, being serviced by an npc employee who was not Hawaiian, but Kamekona wouldn't hold it against him. He stood in front of his portable stand that housed various flavours with his new t-shirt on, smiling and eating some of his product. For show, you see.

Riley had just finished a run when he saw the new ice stand. It looked especially inviting after a hot run and so he purchased what the guy who ran the place said was a 'traditional' three-flavoured shave ice. The thing was kind of big, but Riley had a healthy appetite and it was hard to ignore how smooth the ice went down. He'd have to bring Buffy here at some point. Maybe they could go for a run together and if he managed to keep up, they could stop here.

He walked along the edge of the water line of the beach and looking out at the ocean. Sometimes he missed home, but the truth was, he was happy here. He was going to get married to the woman of his dreams. Life was good.

Death had enough of weddings for a while. He was happy for Chuck to a degree, but he also had to wonder if perhaps there were better things the 'man' could be doing with his time. He left the world in a bit of shambles and while Death was not advocating for God's intervention, perhaps some guidance or one of those 'signs' the humans were so keen on, would help.

He left those thoughts aside, though, as he purchased some shave ice and took a seat at one of the picnic tables meant for customers at either the shave ice stand or the shrimp truck. He was pale and under an umbrella. It was good. He always did enjoy Hawaii.
