Most days, Maggie doesn't hang out at the farm, because once chores are done, there's nothing to do. Today, however, she's laying on a hammock reading between two trees. There's still nothing to do, but at least she can catch up on books she'll never get to read otherwise.

This farm is a far cry from the one back home, she's noticed. Back home, she would have hired at least five people to help out. Here? She has a hard time understanding why a sentient village that provides food and has two stores even has a farm.

Looking up from her book when she hears footsteps, she stands. It still makes her nervous, when she can hear but not see what's coming, so she makes sure to get around the trees as fast as she can. Then, she merely smiles, trying hard not to look like she was afraid walkers had found their way into the village.

"Hey. Can I help you with anythin'?"

Antigone smiled politely at the woman, trying to look friendly.

"Hello," she said. "I'm looking for employment here. Who can I talk to about that?"

It still felt strange, knowing she had to work to survive. But she was willing to do it.

"Oh, well...there aren't really any jobs. I just gave away the only one I had here," Maggie says with an apologetic smile.

"But maybe I could help you find something?"

"Ah," she said, mouth frowning a little. She hadn't expected that.

"If you could help me find something else, I would appreciate that," Antigone replied. At least this woman was being kind and offering to help, she thought.
