She tries hard, but fails (ota)

Alissa's trying to be more like children for Leoben more than anything else. She finds a lot of what children like to do and talk about tedious and she envious her sisters a little for having gone through the final growth stages and looking like an adult. She does not have a very good imagination which often perplexes the other children and most of them shy away. They always seem to give her another shot whenever she approaches them on the playground though.

She's at the playground today and Alissa is trying to play something called 'Foursquare'. She has to work hard not to win and she can feel resentment build up inside of her when one annoying boy continues to gloat about his skill over hers. If only he knew.

She feels the urge to prove herself. It's the feeling of pride, but Alissa doesn't know the name of it yet.

Eventually, she gets fed up and bounces the ball at the boy who was not a 'good winner'. The bounce has more force than anyone her age should have and it is a calculated bounce. The ball bounces and smacks the boy in the jaw which sends the boy flying backwards and he starts to cry.

Alissa moves into the king square, seemingly ignoring the boy who is crying and hurt. "I'm in king square now."
