Regina has had a hell of a day, and the fact that it's not over yet is pissing her off greatly. With a newly purchased bottle of expensive scotch, she doesn't drink delicately like normal. The knock on her door is a surprise; only a few people know she's even here, and she's expecting it to be one of her parents. To see Regina standing there makes Emma narrow her eyes in confusion.

Her words are even more confusing.

"...okay..." She's obviously been drinking, and Emma doesn't think it's necessarily a good idea for them to continue this conversation, wherever it's going.

"What are you doing here, Regina?"

Holding up the bottle, she's still as poised as she can be with three glasses of scotch in her system.

"I was going to take out my own heart tonight. But Henry..." Her jaw clenches, and she gestures to the room at large, seeking entrance.

Emma's eyes widen, and her mouth moves, like she's saying something, but no words come out.

Take out her own heart?

She doesn't let her in right away, though, just standing there. "So why are you here?"

"Because..." She lets out a breath, shoulders finally slumping in defeat. "My husband is gone. My son is gone at home. And you..."

Regina looks at her, and for once, she's being truthful. Maybe it's the alcohol, or the day. Either way:

"You were coming to save me."
