Kit had been fighting his own brand of melancholy of late, struggling with a block he couldn't quite get past. Quite possibly born of guilt, but that wasn't here or there, tonight--because tonight was for Draco and ghosts be damned.

He was going to do everything in his power to make Draco's night glorious.

It occurred to him, when he got to the club, just how little he'd mingled with Draco's other friends. Scanning the room, he smiled a little and shook his head at thinking his cloak would be flamboyant.

He should have known better.

Either way, he was glad he'd kept it, as he'd otherwise worn things he was more comfortable in--leather breeches, a flowing shirt, boots with iron studs. Always iron somwhere. He'd left off the rapier he never liked using, but had his wooden flute tucked in his belt.

Moving through the club, he let himself work on adjusting to the music as he got himself a drink and searched for his wizard.

His wizard was with some friends, bouncing around on the dance floor and appeared to be singing at the top of his lungs to the music. Somehow the tiara Robert had gifted him was staying on.

A glint off a familiar cloak caught his eye, and Draco did a double take. A wide grin took over his done-up face, and he headed straight for his lover.

The pale blond stole kit's drink, downed it, and tossed the glass away. "You can get drunk off of me," he said with a smirk, and with the sound of glass breaking glass faint Draco kissed him.

There was nothing quite like the whole of Draco Malfoy coming out to play.

Until he was spotted, Kit just enjoyed the view, glad to see Draco enjoying himself. When Draco headed toward him, he straightened as he came over.

Drink gone, Kit laughed and kissed Draco back, threading fingers through his hair. "I think I can live with that."

Watching Draco come out to play was something Kit could get very caught up in.

Getting lost in was more likely, which was why Draco kept a leach on himself most of the time. ...Though it would be very interesting to watch.

Kit slipped his fingers through Draco's hair, careful not to mess it up, but wanting to touch.

"Of course I came by. We're celebrating you."

"We are," Kit agreed--how could he not? "I'm realizing how very few I know of the others with the good taste to be celebrating you."

"Because you work more than I do, which is practically lethal," he said with amusement more than annoyance. Draco couldn't judge anyone about working too much.

"You'll just have to be a social butterfly tonight, I suppose. Though I`m not sure who may be off in the shadows having their own private party. Robert and Paris most likely, perhaps Felicia and Annatar if the music hasn't deafened the latter yet. Johanna is likely prowling about. I've lost a dozen friends to the dance floor."

"Idle hands and all of that..." His deal with Lucifer was binding enough without letting himself sink into time to think. But he did regret isolating himself so much. "I will figure out if I remember how to do the butterfly thing."

It had been a while, but he listened as Draco named them off. "Dance floors are devious that way."

"Excellent," he said with a smile, and led Kit to the bar for another drink. "This is true. Devious and so very fun!"

Kit followed more than willingly, one hand sliding to Draco's lower back, pressing lightly there, keeping contact with him.

"We should test it out ourselves."

"Are you sure an old fashioned gent like yourself could keep up with me out there?" he asked with a smirk, and ordered a bottle of water for himself once at the bar.

"Modern dancing isn't terribly hard. You can watch them for a bit to get the general idea, but I do like the more inspired sort. It's quite fascinating what the body can do outside the bedroom," he said, and chugged half the water.

"I like watching you dance," Kit volunteered, a smile curving his lips as he remembered how they met. "Far more lovely than this, though it is interesting for certain."

"I have been working on a dance, but haven't had a reason to do anything with it," Draco said with a shrug, and then smiled. "This sort of dancing is more...spontaneous, moving how the music inspires one to move."
