"Ha ha!" came a wry chuckle from where one Don Quixote de la Mancha, who had been watching from a distance. "That large beast seems a worthy match for any water dragon!"

Somehow it was really fitting for it to be Don Quixote standing there and Harry let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah, I think he can pretty much take on anyone and anything." And probably has if Harry thought about it.

"A noble beast." the Knight Errant approved as he came closer, today not in his armor (lo, that it was heavy). "Greetings!"

"Hello." Harry greeted him with a smile. "Find any water dragons lately?"

"There is something in the lake." Illyra stood off to his right, staring off into the water. Then she turned to fix her icy blues on Harry, "But I don't believe it's hungry."

She could feel the creature, sense it's form that was similar in a way to her original.

Harry turned to see --- what the hell but Mouse didn't growl so he was going to go with a friendly.

"And if it's hungry what does it normally eat?" He wasn't sure he really wanted to know the answer to that.

Not so much friendly as indifferent.

"I do not know." she answered, still staring at him unblinking. "It is not my lake monster."

Were that it was.

"Do you usually have one?" His eyebrows rose to his hairline. "I don't think I've ever met anyone that had a lake monster before."

Another man, out with his dog, was having similar problems with playful pets. Pongo had strained to go to the lake, and now he was there, the dalmatian was desperate to get into the water - especially if it meant playing with his master.

"Pongo, you know it's waste of time," a very tired sounding man said, gesturing at his dog with an umbrella he had hooked over his arm - the umbrella he always carried.

[ooc: I'm gonig to bed, but couldn't resist!]

Mouse wagged his tail and bounded over toward the dalmatian and Harry glanced at the man with the umbrella. It was kind of cliche to name a dog after the 101 Dalmatians movie but not any more cliche than naming a huge dog Mouse.

"Dogs, gotta love them."

"Especially when they decide water is the best thing ever," Archie said with a long suffering sigh. "But at least I don't have to worry too much about drying this one." Just as well, given how Pongo was splashing through the water towards Mouse, sniffing him gently as he approached.

"I have a secret weapon." Harry chuckled, "I'm a wizard so I use fire spells to dry him off." Or you know, Mouse shakes like a rag doll and gets Harry wet all over again.
