Even though she had known it was coming, Jenna still hadn't been fully prepared for the moment Ric said goodbye.  After a promise to look for each other on The Other Side, he had left and Jenna had found herself alone once more.  After that she had retreated from everything and everyone as she tried to deal.  She just wasn't sure how well she was

He hadn't been looking, but she was in HIS bar. So to speak. He was coming off a few days of confusion between Hale and Bo, and the full moon dragging at him, so when he slid into the booth opposite her he simply helped himself to a glass of the tequila.

Jenna didn't stop him. She merely sat back, watching him for a moment before flagging down a waitress to order more tequila. A whole new bottle of it since clearly they would need it.

"Bad day?" She asked with a wry smirk.

"Not bad really," just long, and a little headache inducing. "How about you?"

She was the one with a bottle of tequila.

She was silent for a moment before she started to pour herself another shot. "Ric is gone."

It took him a second, but only a second. "I'm sorry."

He hadn't known Ric more than by sight, but he knew what it was like to have the person you loved leave.

"I think I knew it was coming." But that didn't make her feel better.

"Lucky you," he'd had no idea Bo was going to go until she'd been gone.

"I know, right?" She snorted lightly, tossing back another shot.

"I meant it," he said wryly, refilling his own glass and sipping. "When Bo went the first time... there was her being gone and the shock on top of the loss."

She sighed softly, nodding her head. "I get what you're saying." She murmured as she looked at him. "How did you deal?"

"Spent some time in the woods, spent some time drinking. Found a couple willing partners and tried to forget." None of it had done anything much, but he'd had to try.

"I remember telling a friend that. The best way to get over someone was to get under someone else." She snorted a bit, taking another shot. "You'll help me with the woods and drinks though, right?"

"Booze now, woods tomorrow." He agreed, then coked his head. "Might be able to help with the other thing too, or at least point you at a guy I know who would treat you good."

Jenna felt bad about even talking about hooking up with someone else but maybe it would be nice to have a distraction. At least she knew Dyson wouldn't judge her for it. "Really? Who?"

Dyson had felt bad too, but he was a dog. Occasionally literally.

"My partner from home, just showed up." And had made trouble with Bo (inadvertently) so frankly he could use a distraction.

At least he had an excuse? Sort of?

"Oh really?" She smirked a bit though maybe it was because she was starting to feel the booze. "And what's this partner like?"
