"Are you kidding me?" Bo looked at Hale in disbelief that was bordering anger. She stood there with her hip out to the side in attitude.
Hale brought up his hands. "Hey, look, I'm only saying what's going on back home. I'm not accusing you of anything."
"Yeah, right." Bo could not believe what Hale was implying. She was not that kind of Fae anymore.
She and Hale locked their gaze for a moment longer before Bo turned around in a huff and marched out of the Cafe. Hale watched her go for a moment, then shook his head and took a seat at the table where he had been sitting before Bo arrived. He still had half a sandwich left.
Bo, on the other hand, stormed out of the Cafe and down the street. She didn't know where she was going, but she needed to let off steam.
