Man, John is wiped out. People have been so on edge the last couple of days, he's always having to separate would-be combatants, and soothe the near panicked, stay at a constant state of alert. He is glad to get home, eager to see how Maddie, Angel, and Erica are doing, wanting to just relax

The drop of his gun doesn't startle her. But it's the yelling after that as she straightens, eyes wide before she calls out. "John?" And there's her voice and she lets out a little laugh.

She'd already been mute once, she hasn't been amused to be mute again. At least it hadn't been just her though.

Maddie is turning at the noise from where she's sitting on the floor, and once she realizes she's making sound again, she starts emitting loud and varying squeals and shrieks.

John finishes locking the gun up, and goes to pick up Maddie, and find Erica.

"Hey, we're audible again," he chuckles to Maddie. Finding Erica he gives her a kiss, and leans over to show where he banged himself. It's not bleeding, but there's going to be a bruise.

"Will I live?"

Erica kisses the spot tenderly. "Your head's pretty thick," she smirks. "You'll be okay. I'll give it some extra TLC tonight."

Maddie is not pleased that she's been by passed, and she voices her displeasure, rocking forward onto her hands and knees. She'll just go get daddy, then.

John chuckles.

"Where's my girl?" He goes to look for her. He looks back at Erica.

"Wonder how hard it'll be to get her back out of our bed. Is Angel home?"
