Glenn found that he was getting more and more used to the village as the days went on. He still didn't spend the nights in his own room just yet, but he was pushing himself to go for walks alone and spend some time in solitude to get used to the idea it wasn't going to kill him. She was walking back from the woods in her hunting clothes, bow in hand, full sheath of arrows strapped across her back. Katniss was passing through the park so that she could head to the bakery to see Peeta. She stopped abruptly after hearing music waft through the air.

Katniss liked it, so she tracked down where it was coming from, seeing the man playing... something. So, she approached slowly, her brows drawn as he watched his hand, his fingers moving over the strings on the instrument on his lap.

"What's that?" She asked, not having the luxury of having anything musical back in District 12.

Glenn looked up when she spoke and he looked a little startled. He hadn't heard her walk up on him and that was somewhat unsettling. What if a walker could do that? It took him a second and a few blinks to realize she had asked him a question and he hadn't answered.

"Oh, um. I don't know. I don't really know how to play it yet." He was going to try to teach himself. So far he only got a few chords out that didn't sound like he was killing a cat. That was something, though.

Katniss realized why she liked the sound. It was a bit similar to when she plucked at the string of her bow. The thought made her smile, which in turn made her smile at him.

"If you don't know how to play it yet then what's it supposed to sound like?" She was curious and Katniss stepped closer.

"Better than me." He smiled a little and looked down at the strings again. "People who really know how to play this? They can make whole songs out of it, not just a few chords. Though I didn't even know how to do that when I first picked it up." So he was getting better.
