While it hadn't been a hard day at work, it had definitely felt like a long one. Having finally be put into rotation was a good thing, but Cliff had forgotten what it was like when you started out at a new clinic. It wasn't that the work was much different, but there was a lot of procedures and paperwork you had to re-learn because every place did it a little differently. Cliff's eyes felt a little old after his shift, but not so old when he came upon the music store.
Entering, Cliff had to smile to himself. Music was a beautiful thing. He walked through the aisles and took in the albums. There was a lot of names he didn't recognize and surpressed the feeling of 'old' again when he came upon the section that would have been considered contemporary at home which was now labelled 'oldies'. He wondered what his children would think if they saw their favourite band in this section.
He came across a Big John Patton album in the form of a CD. Cliff preferred vinyl and cassettes weren't so bad, but thanks to his kids he was familiar with CDs a little bit. He wondered over to one of the 'listening stations' and popped in the CD. Placing the headphones over his head, Cliff's face lulled into a pleasant expression as
The Way I Feel began playing into his ears. Now that was music... altough vinyl was still better.
