The idea of school brought up a variety of memories for Glinda, some good and bad. While it was a fun experience overall, it wasn’t one she planned on revisiting. Yet, here she was, picking up supplies. How did she get talked into this? She felt that necklace around her neck, and smiled. Elphaba may have been the only person alive that could honestly talk her into that.
Although the chance to study the book properly was enticing. She had worked on it with Elphaba’s notes for a short time. She just got the willies every time she looked at it. Looked back on the damage it caused. She couldn’t stomach trying to learn it, even if Elphaba had asked her to. Some things hurt too badly to really look at. Even if she clandestinely was very curious.
Roaming around the village bookstore was quite the experience. She honestly suspected Elphaba could get lost in there for weeks. She didn’t really see the attraction, but at least they had some interesting books on magic. She rolled her eyes when she realized she was in a book store and found it interesting. She could hear Elphaba somewhere laughing at that. Probably down at the library. That seemed to be her favorite hang out when they were in school. One
book in particular caught her attention. A practical use for magic in this new world. Yes, hopefully this would help. But it would have to be later. Glinda’s stomach growled particularly loudly at that moment.
After purchasing a few books, she made her way to that lovely café Elphie brought her to when she first arrived. She ordered something called a pizza and a drink. She began reading, her eyes widening. Where was the magic again?
