A continuation of grief (OTA)

David was still entirely unsure how to feel about Elizabeth being gone from the village. Today he was without his backpack, but he had two things: very valuable things. One was a something for Katniss; there had been a note with it that had said that, so David took it. Then there was a small pin that looked like an owl. David had known it was for him.

He held it in his hands and looked between it and the village from his place on the bench. He felt, well, he supposed it was sadness. Still.
