James had read through about half of the book on professional poker dealing and thought he had a pretty good grasp of things by now. He'd even bought a deck of cards and practiced a little. So, time to get a job. If he couldn't enjoy flying in this place, he could at least have some fun at a poker table. Being a professional dealer sounded surprisingly interesting.
He had no idea of how you applied for a job, he'd never had to. But making a decent first impression seemed like a good idea, so he put on his uniform and even bothered with the tie. He eyed himself once in the mirror and then walked to the Cal Mah. Hopefully Mr. Belvedere would be around, maybe he should have asked for an appointment after all. Well, if he had to wait, he could easily waste some time at the casino.
With a smile he walked into the Cal Mah and approached the first employee he spotted. "Good morning! I'd like to speak to Mr. Belvedere - about a job. I'm James Gutterman."
He rubbed his hands a little nervously as the employee walked off to check if Mr. Belvedere had time to see him. This was new territory...
