Andrej was in his office at the clinic. It was past the usual appointment hours but it was his rotation. Not much to do, not even paperwork. Thank the Holy Mother

Encouraged by Clair and the nice Doctor Jones, Cliff entered the clinic with the hopes of procuring a job for himself. He had toyed with the idea of doing something different here like Clair, but the truth was he loved his job. He liked helping people and he wanted to continue doing that.

When he asked for Andrej, he was brought to the man's office. Cliff knocked politely at the door.

Andrej looked up at the sound of the knock. He didn't usually close his door but the vacuuming at the end of the work day had been loud and he hadn't gone out since. Usually his gentlemen would knock and enter. Why hadn't they?

"Come in," Andrej called.

Cliff entered with a polite, friendly smile on his face and nodded to the man he saw at the desk. He stood, hands clasped casually in front of him.

"Hello. Doctor Koscuisko? My name is Cliff Huxtable. I was told you're the one I should speak to in procuring a job here at the clinic."

"Yes, Dr. Huxtable, please sit," Andrej said as he himself stood and bowed slightly before sitting again. The man was exotic and dark like his wife.

"I saw your wife some few days ago. She said you were obstetrics. We have some need. The Chief of Nursing here and others. Miss Ruby who is now gone. And that you are Earth from. I do not believe that there is interstellar travel in your time. I hope you will not oppose studying other hominid classes. My Robert is Nurail and Miss Ruby's child is with him." Andrej finally paused.
