Over the weekend, and quite unexpectedly, Gorgo had found herself feeling ill. It had not waned much over the course of the last few days and she had been gently, though sternly, convinced by Maximus to stay in her bedchamber.
But several days of this and it had become too stifling indoors that Gorgo had decided to venture outside. It would be just a walk, that was all. She needed the sun's heat and the breeze to kiss her skin once again.
In her usual
wear she headed toward the farm only to veer toward Aphrodite's temple. A short visit might be in order; a gratitude to the Goddess for having Maximus here with her.
She walked the streets slowly, hand on her stomach, still feeling the roiling in her belly but her steps did not falter, determined to endure the short trip she wanted to make.
