Non-specific holiday celebrating everyone's freedom [[ota, gathering]]
Laura's lost track of how many times since she's been in the village that she's organized this holiday picnic. There was one year she's sure that Betty Draper had, but other than that, she's always woken up the week before to a mass of food in her walk-in freezers at the bakery, and decorations falling out of a closet.
On the day of, things are set up fairly smoothly with the exception of one storm early in the afternoon. Food is cooking (hotdogs and hamburgers fresh from the grill, baked beans, potato salad, veggie burgers and tofu...things. Not to mention baker treats.), decorations are on all the tables (nothing red right and blue. Just festive party stars and streamers), the live band is playing, karaoke is going, and there are games for the kids. A stage is set up for the show that's been advertised around the village. All to be capped off at nightfall by a firework show.
