The fight with the Reavers had burned away some of the pent up helpless rage that had lingered from home. Some of the restless, too. It was amazing what some well-placed violence could do. The elation had worn off a bit, leaving Elijah slipping back toward his more customary serenity. It truly was serenity, though, instead of the tight repression he'd been carrying since he'd thrown Elena into the caves with Rebekah back home.
He felt like he could breathe. It was heightened by the storm that had blown away some of the oppressive heat, too, leaving the evening air almost cool as he stepped out of the hotel.
Elijah had been aiming toward Fangtasia, to see if his siblings or Damon were there, but the niceness of the night made him shift direction, not quite ready to be caught inside. His steps led him through the village. He stopped at the cafe and got a cup of tea, then took it with him toward the park, wandering in a somewhat circuitous path toward the club. He'd get there, eventually.
There was also a possibility he was somewhat hunting, but not as he had the weekend he'd lost control--just searching the darkness that was his element for something to capture his attention. Maybe.
[ooc: Feel free to run into him in the streets, cafe or park, or catch him once he gets to Fangtasia--which he totally will eventually. :-D]
