Anders enjoyed spending the first half of his day in the greenhouse, with his hands in the dirt, before the sun came up and it got unbearably hot. It was usually fairly quiet, and while he didn't actively avoid company (well, maybe he did a bit, since Varric and Isabela had left), he did like being alone with the plants for a few hours.
The tiger lilies were doing magnificently well, and were so numerous that Anders felt thoroughly justified in snipping a few for an arrangement, not for himself but for Alexis. They were nearly the same color as her hair, so it seemed appropriate. He arranged them to the best of his abilities in clear vase filled with water and plant food, and washed up for the day before he carried them back to the hotel.
He knocked on her door before he thought that he might want to send her a message and see if she was in, or if she was busy or had company, but ah well. It was too late now.
