L didn’t often sleep in his room. Like always, he normally fell asleep on the couch. Light had gotten used to that, so he was confused when he got up and noticed someone really tiny sleeping on the couch. At first he thought maybe the village had turned L back into a child again- that hadn’t really been fun, and he knew how the village liked to torture him.
So, when the little body rolled over, and it was a girl wearing a white dress with little pink roses, well… he knew it wasn’t L. He stepped closer, watching her, and then nudged her just slightly. “Hello?”
Sayuri awoke, and it took a moment for her to register what was happening (or, what she thought was). She grinned. “Daddy, you’re here! You’re actually here!”
“Daddy?” Light asked, scoffing.
“Mama said you’d come back to visit.” She said, looking all bright-eyed and smiley. So much like…
“Misa.” Light’s eyes went wide. “Oh no.”
