Ed had a cold and Faith was more than a little neurotic with worry. His nose was running like a sieve and he'd been up crying and coughing all night. He'd had a couple colds before over the winter, but in comparison they'd been mild. Her hair was all over the place and disheveled, as she hadn't really done much with it before rushing out the door with Ed, her eyes were a combination of frantic and exhausted.
Rushing out of the hotel in the morning and forgoing the stroller, she held the coughing and snotty Ed in her arms as she rushed to the clinic. The rational part of her knew that a cold wasn't serious, so she could calm down, but it still made her a mess to see her son suffering like he was and her less rational side was getting the upper hand at the moment.
