It occurred to Margaret, in the middle of giving a report to Juliet about the newest patient, that no one had given Erica a shower. Come to think of it, no one had given her one either. She hadn't even thought about it, just bowled ahead in that way she had, doing everything herself. It was too close to both their due dates to plan a shower now. By

Erica thinks it's amusing, this micro shower, and she has a bag of baby bath towels and washcloths, the towels with hoods for the baby's head to stay warm. She also has a box with fruit pastries, sweet and yet convincingly healthy.

Walking into the restaurant she smiles at Margaret, making her way over. "Happy baby shower," she laughs.

"Same to you." She grins, and motions her to sit. "I ordered us a couple of virgin Margaritas.

"Are we gonna do presents here, or wait until we get home?"

"Hell with it, let's do 'em here," Erica says as she sits, leaving enough room between belly and table.

"Here works for me." Margaret dipped a chip in salsa and popped it in her mouth, then handed the present to Erica.
