The T-X swung an arm at him, a backhanded blow that should have smashed his head, but J.L. was already ducking before she even committed it. Her arm passed above his head and he reached up with his shoulder belt and wrapped it around her extended arm. He then hauled on the lap belt portion of the restraint. The T-X, gripped by a material with far more tensile strength than human flesh, was pulled off balance. From this crouch, J.L. kicked up at her, the blow hitting her rear-end and sending her a few more degrees off-balance.
J.L. knew he didn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of overpowering the T-X who had come flying into the backseat of their dune buggy. Somewhere in the back of his mind it registered that Nix was dead. The impact that the machine had on his torso would have been crippling. Still, this would give Smart a chance to radio the rest of the convoy.
He was about to kick again when the T-X reached for the chair he was on and yanked. The chair broke free from its mountings and it catapulted J.L. into the air. He wasn’t afraid to die, he realized, and he was sure that the impact would kill him. What he regretted was not being able to help more. His last thought was the beginning of a worry that the T-X might actually catch up to John Connor.
The impact hurt. A lot. It hurt so much that J.L. couldn’t even manage to vocalize it. Vaguely he could register that he was lying face down on cool, uneven road. His entire body ached which made it hard to pinpoint if there was any major injury over the others. He was still alive. He knew the next vehicle in the transport would see him and stop. He had to hold on at least until then to tell them the package had escaped.
What J.L. didn’t know was that he was no longer on a road somewhere outside of Sante Fe. He was actually on the cobble stones in a village called Haurvatat. There was no convoy truck coming as he had been the only one to brought here.
[ooc: His left arm is broken in two places and his shoulder is dislocated. There's a few cracked ribs too. The worst-looking part is that he has a massive case of road rash over most of his body. Like I said, he can function, but will need help getting to the clinic.]
