let's face the music and dance (open, tag Faye and Ned)

Though time to think and process had lessened the intensity of it, Daenerys still felt the same strange blend of giddiness and terror that had seized her the moment she'd realized her moon's blood had ceased. She still couldn't decide if this place had given her a gift to be treasured, or if Mirri Maz Durr was still mocking her from beyond the veil of death, dangling something she desperately wanted in front of, only to yank it away again when her hope and happiness reached the highest peak.

Regardless, she needed to know. She supposed that she could wait, and see if her body started to change, if it became rounder and softer as it had with Rhaego, but if there was a way to know for certain now, she saw no reason not to take the opportunity.

Anxiously, Daenerys clasped her hands in front of her and waited for Faye to join her in the hotel lobby.

Later, much later, she knew for certain. That was what the box had said, at least, that the test was as close to a certain answer as one could know without seeing a healer, and Daenerys was still wary of putting herself in another healer's hand. Now she had only to speak with Lord Stark, and she could go home (such a lovely word to be able to use, finally: home) and tell Jon. She let the door of the tea house close behind her and removed her cloak, draped it over her arm and found a table. She smiled softly to see Adam nearby, just as he promised he would be; it was good to know that there would be at least one person here to guard her if something should happen.

She ordered a cup of ginger tea, and waited for Lord Stark to arrive.

[ooc: thread with Faye happens first, thread with Ned last, but feel free to talk to her in the lobby or at the cafe]
