Wrapped in a sweater and leaning against the wall near the door in the lobby, Erica's actually thinking hard about how things are going to go if Juliet decides to stay for a long while at their place. It's Puck's place too, and Angel's, after all. So she figures talking and not just letting Puck find out would be better than anything else

"Hey," he was coming in actually, he'd been at the arcade just sort of sitting there and you know.. doing his math homework like a dork. "Chile rellenos here we come."

Erica grins and makes her way out with him. "Honestly, I've been a hermit since Thanksgiving. I could use some good food, and I didn't want to go alone. I also firmly believe that there is a churro calling my name."

"Mmmm churros," he's a teenage boy, he likes anything deep fried and rolled in sugar. "Seriously tho John's cooking needs to stop."

Erica snorts in laughter. "He tries. Sorry I haven't cooking as much, I'll try to do more now that there's an outcry from the people," she says, nudging his shoulder with hers jokingly.

He shrugged, "You don't have to."

He was more than capable of feeding himself. Hell he could feed all of them.

"Its not your job to make sure we all get fed."

"Guess that was just the mom part coming out, sorry."

She walks with him quietly for a few minutes, then glances over at him.

"I know I haven't been great at being around lately. Everything okay with you?"

"You're way too smokin to be my mom," he smirked at her then considered her question.

"Just... weird shit happening in the village lately. First Halloween then Angel being all... big." And telling him he went home.

"That was weird. All of it. And you know, it's...the village. This place does a lot of things to a lot of people and we just try to be here for each other, you know?"

"She told me I go home," he blurted out. Then glanced down at his feet.

"When that happens... will you be there for Veronica?"

Erica stares at Puck, shocked, but then she nods reaching out to hold onto his arm.

"Of course I will. I...did Angel say when? I mean is this..." She swallows, not wanting the kid she considers a son to leave, too.

"I didn't ask, I don't want to know you know?" He shrugged, then made a sheepish face.

"I miss my mom sometimes, and my sister and nana and I complain about being the only person I know who hasn't gone home and come back but... sucks."

"I kind of wanted to talk to you about that. Because...you know, people go, and other people get left behind. And when you love someone it can be hard to be alone. Have to deal with it by yourself," she sighs.

"Dude been there done that," when Quinn had left with Beth. "Thought I was gonna lose my mind."

"Me too," she says. "Juliet's husband left again. And...she's kind of a mess."

"Sucks for her, and the little dude." His dad leaving was sort of a defining moment in his life.

"She asked us if she could stay at our place for a while, and...having been there and done that, I know that if I hadn't had John, and you for nacho parties and movie nights, it would have been a lot harder to deal with things."
