L was busy considering some information he had just gotten. It seemed that something Light had told to Mello, which Mello had then passed to Matt, made L quite certain that Light had his memories back, though he had not confronted the younger man yet.

L was busy considering all the ramifications of this as he ate a small cake watching Light closely.

L watching him was nothing new, actually it happened pretty often. Still, he wasn't a huge fan of it. Light stopped 'reading', and turned to look at the older man.

"Yes, thank you, Light-kun." L said finishing the small cake. "Was the book interesting?" He wasn't yet ready to reveal what he knew, well suspected since he couldn't prove it, but then that didn't matter in some ways at this point.
