For the better part of the last two weeks Mike has been living and breathing comics in a way that he's never done so before. He hasn't been this on top of his game since...well...sort of never, actually

It's easy to miss Mike in the comic book store. Not only does he tend to blend really well with the ridiculous, but he's also no where near tall enough to be seen over the tops of the maze of bookshelves.
At the moment he's towards the back of the store doing some finishing touches on a couple of life sized, hand-drawn, cardboard cut outs of various heroes and villains. They...they're actually quite good, all things considered.
He hears Raph call his name and doesn't move or even look up. He just keeps on working.
"Thanks," is his non-committal response. His non-committal, still lacking in eye-contact, response.
Well, to the outside observer it just looks as though he's hyperfocused on what he's doing, but...Raph's hardly the outside observer, and Mike knows it. There isn't a person alive who knows him better than Raph. Not even Splinter. So while he could shrug off the curious with tales of there just not being enough time, or enough paper, to undertake a project like this one back home...he knows this tactic isn't likely to work on Raph.
Just wait until Raph gets to the books about the personification of countries and the adventures they have!
"It's certainly a challenge, that's for sure," he says under his breath. "I haven't seen Hal, Kyle, or John yet. Though they're aware people know about the Corp, so it wouldn't be too bad. Same with Flash."

He's not pleased with those last couple of lines, so he reaches for the glob of eraser and begins removing them from his sight.

There's even a hand gesture for "mystical ninja powers." It's kind of like jazz hands, but more mysterious....also mystical.
