Edward stands on the street corner with a dozen or so multi-colored roses, randomly giving them to people. He was in a generous mood, leaning against the streetlamp with a smile on his face. He didn't know what possessed him to decide to hand out flowers, but he supposed that maybe karma would learn to forgive and cut him a break if he was a good

"Um sure why not," she says tilting her head, "wait they're not magic flowers or anything right?" After being in the labyrinth she knows it good to check these things.
Reply
"No, they're not magic," he replies evenly, "They're just normal flowers." He takes a white one from the bunch and hands it to her.

Takes the flowers she smells it and smiles up at him half waiting for something to happen, of course if it did she'd only have herself to blame she really should know better than to accept things from strangers.
"Thank you, so can I ask why you're standing in the street handing out flowers?"
Reply
"Well," he starts, swallowing, "I thought I'd do a good deed. It's been so long since I've done something like that... and some days you just feel generous." He smiles again.

She grins at his explaination, "It's a very nice gesture, not many people would make the effort to actually do something nice like that," she tells him thoughtfully.
She twirls the stem in her fingers, then realises she should probably introduce herself. "I'm Sarah by the way, I haven't seen you around the village before have you been here long?"

"Well I have a lot of time on my hands," He laughs softly. That, and a lot of guilt on his conscience. He extends a hand, holding the rest of the flowers haphazardly in the other. His eyes are visible over the multi-colored petals, but that's about all.
"Edward," he says, "Edward Nygma."

"So that would make you Mr Enigma right?" she says, it sounds like a name she'd hear in the labyrinth. "Cool name!"
She tucks the flower behind her ear, having got tired of holding it and reaches in her pocket for her crystal to check her reflection.
"What do you think?" She asks posing slightly for him, quite glad she's finally dragged herself away from Jareth and actually met some new people. They seem to be stuck her, and making friends is always a good thing, not that she's always be that good at making friends. Still least she can try right?

"Perfect. A flower-child if I've ever seen one." He smiles, "And yes, that would indeed make me Mr. E. Nygma. I'm one big mystery." He gestures towards the flowers, "It was a mystery why I'd be out here doing this until you asked." He laughs again, losing a bit of his boy-like shyness. Meeting people was something he enjoyed doing, but it always took him a little while to warm up.

"Mysteries can be good, I spent a little time solving a labyrinth when I was younger. Not so much fun at the time, but well looking back now that time's passed it was an...interesting experience." She frowns, "sorry I'm kind of rambling now aren't I? I do that sometimes, too much book reading, not enough socialising, that's what my step mother always said."

"I don't know..." he says, "I've heard that sometimes people put on plays here in the village, and you never know -- someday someone might find a way out of here." He smiles. He was always hopeful, even when it looked like things were hopeless.
"A Labyrinth?" He asks with interest, "I used to be obsessed with riddles and puzzles," he admits, "I still to this day have to do the crossword in the newspaper." He frowns slightly, not really planning on revealing his compulsions, but sometimes things slip.

She nods, "It didn't have that many puzzles, I think I'd've been okay with that. This place kept changing itself though which I really don't think was very fair but then I don't suppose it was meant to be, Jareth doesn't like losing much."
"You don't think maybe this place could be like that then? Solve the puzzle then we can leave?" she asks him assuming maybe he'd have worked it out if it were. Or maybe it was different for everyone, it wouldn't surprise her.

"That's very interesting," he says, "it might be like that. It might just be one big puzzle that we have to figure out." He looks curious, "Who, might I ask, is Jareth?" He asks mildly.

She dips her head coyly at his question, suddenly looking like the child she'd been in the labyrinth. She has no idea how to explain him, there really aren't any words, none that fit everything he is. "He's...everything" she blushes slightly as she thinks about him. "The goblin king, we arrived here a day apart after not seeing each other for six years. We hurt each other a lot, but none of that seems to matter much anymore."
But what no one knew was that the king had fallen in love with the girl

His brow furrows, "Goblin King?" He asks, tilting his head to the side slightly.
Reply
"Yep the ruler of the Goblin City, he isn't a Goblin though, he's a fae I think. Not exactly your normal boy meets girl story is it? But then I've never liked normal much." Give her fantasy anytime.
