A Very Batty Thanksgiving - [Thanksgiving Day Gathering Post - open to Bat-family and friends]

Nov 24, 2010 16:46

The planning and preparation for Thanksgiving dinner in the Wayne household had always been a multi-day affair, and this one was no exception. Alfred had labored for days to select recipes, gather ingredients, and make sure that all needed kitchenware was available and ready.

The actual preparation had begun the night before, with doughs and crusts prepared, the marination of meats started, and so on.

Alfred had lost a bit of his stamina over the long years, so he actually permitted himself a few hours sleep that night. He was up again bright and early the next morning, though, executing his plans with near-military procedure. Some might have rightly called it a grueling exercise, one that was sure to leave a man in his 70s with a full share of aches and pains afterward. Alfred would not have disagreed, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

[ooc: catch Alfred any time during the day as he stirs, chops, and otherwise bustles around the kitchen, or later in the afternoon when the dinner actually begins.
