The days since leaving Washington D.C. had been a blur for Brennan. From the plane rides to arrival in the camp to assuming her duties as the lead excavator on the project, she had had little time to think about all she left behind. Parker had been walking down the sidewalk bouncing on the balls of his feet. He was humming to himself having a good day. He and Joslire had a good talk the other day and now it was almost Thanksgiving. He froze not sure he was seeing who he was really singing. "Bones!"

He ran down the sidewalk skidding to a stop in front of her.

She was still attempting to determine just where she was and how she had arrived in this location when a familiar voice shouted her nickname. Brennan turned in the direction of the shout, eyes widening at the sight of Booth's son.

"Parker?" She laughed in surprise. "Parker, what are you doing here?"

"I live here. You don't remember?" He tilted his head looking at her curiously. Parker wasn't sure what to do if she couldn't remember being here before now.

"I do not know where here is," she replied calmly, despite the confusion and frustration she felt. "I feel safe in concluding that it is not the Maluku Islands, however. I have never experienced a lucid dream but..."

But it made more sense than suddenly leaving Indonesia to appear someplace she was apparently supposed to possess some memory of.

Parker sighed a little,"This is Haurvatat. You're kind of stuck here. No way to escape or anything. Everybody lives at the hotel."

Brennan blinked. The name sounded familiar, but not for the reasons Parker probably would have preferred.

"One of the seven Amesha Spentas of Persian mythology," she began. "Haruvatat was the personification of perfection, prosperity, and health. But - I have never heard of a town by that name. Especially not on the Malukus."

"When I got here dad said it was like in Star Trek. This place isn't in the same time and place as everywhere,"he shrugged.

"Um when you come here people don't even know you left home. Time doesn't change there,"he looked up at her proud he'd remembered. "Come on. Follow me."

Brennan eyed him, still having a hard time following. It was not so much Parker's words but the lack of scientific validity to them which bothered her.

She opted to resist arguing with her partner's son for another very valid question. "Where are we going?"

"The hotel. Everybody stays there. Sometimes it even has stuff from home in your room,"he nodded.

She stopped walking for a moment. "Who is everybody, Parker?"

"Everybody that's here in the village. It's a lot of people I think,"he nodded.

She gestured to the nearby buildings and frowned. "What about having their own houses or apartments?"
