For the most part, sales would be down for the winter months. Ski and snowboard sales or rentals would be virtually nonexistent due to the fact that there were no mountains to use them on, just a few subtle hills or snowdrift mounds. Even so, the outdoor sporting goods store had new ice skates, hockey gear and sleds in stock in preparation for winter actually hitting the village. However, the real money for the season would be made in winter jackets, hats, gloves, boots, thermal under clothes or
pocket knives and
first aid kits dressed up as stocking suffers for Christmas.
