Draco stepped into the cafe with his cheeks pink from the cold. He loved winter! Most people found the season to be merely cold, gray, and uncomfortable, but Draco felt energized every time he stepped outside. Jake had been working in the gym, but he decided he was starving (when wasn't he?) so he made his way to the cafe to get a sandwich. Once he got his food he went over to Draco's table.

"Why hello there gorgeous." He grinned, sitting across from him.

Draco smiled widely at Jake. "Hello yourself, tall, dark, and delicious."

"Are you talking to me or your drink?" He smirked, taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Can't it be both?" he said, and licked up more cream. "You both taste better with whipped cream."

"Mmm, so do you." He laughed. "I think most things do."

"I think that may be a fact," he said, and tore a small piece off og Jake's sandwich for himself.

Jake let him take the piece without giving him any trouble.

"Are you enjoying the weather? We should go outside later and have a snowball fight." He grinned.

Draco would have ignored an outcry of objection anyway.

"Definitely! A fine idea. There has not been nearly enough snowball fights yet, in my opinion."

"Why wont Scorpius join in on them? I told him I was sorry for that one frozen one a million times already." And in Jake's opinion, the kid totally could have used his wand to stop it from hitting him in the face.

"He's milking it," Draco said, as if it was an everyday observation. "Having someone believe they are in debt to you is extremely valuable. That's worth a few hours of fun any day, especially when he has other things to amuse himself with. You could always bargain with him and it out of the way. If you sincerely want him to join, that is."

"Huh, I wonder how he learned to do that so well. Maybe someone great taught him." He raised an eyebrow over at Draco, smirking.

"I don't know, do we sincerely want him to join? He get's mad when we stop playing and kiss."

Draco laughed and munched a marshmallow. "Of course. He's been raised by Slytherins all of his life."

He took a drink from his snowman mug and reveled in the chocolaty warmth. "I can't say I blame him. I know it's been a few months, but it can't be easy getting used to having two fathers. Especially when we're not censoring ourselves."

"Well, we're never going to be good at censoring ourselves." He bit into his sandwich. "At least I know I won't be."

He laughed again and had to cover his mouth to keep from dribbling cocoa. "Yes," he said after swallowing his sip. "I agree completely. Some consideration may be beneficial, however. Trying can't hurt."

"Okay, I'm willing to try." Jake nodded. "Do you think that will make him like me more?"

"If I were Scorpius, I know I would feel less like you were monopolizing my father's attention," Draco said and shrugged. "Malfoys are attention whores, if you hadn't noticed by now."
