Things undone ... (closed to Remus Lupin)

Sneaking out of Remus Lupin's bed was no easy task.

But Sirius Black had managed.  It had taken forever to ease himself out of Remus's long arms, especially this close to the full moon when the werewolf's senses were near their peak.  Usually the night before the full moon, Remus was on edge, restless and ready to wake up at the slightest noise or movement.  It was only because the boys had been making out for hours that he'd managed to fall asleep at all.

Sirius almost felt bad for what he was about to do.

Almost.

The dark haired boy had been skulking about for close to half an hour, setting up a little surprise in Remus's small, cozy room and was now standing beside Remus's bed, watching the clock with an excited grin. As luck would have it Remus's birthday fell on the full moon this year, meaning the boy would have to give the evening that would have been spent celebrating with mates over to the wolf he feared. However, Remus's birthday technically began at midnight, in exactly fourty-five seconds, fourty-four seconds, fourty-three seconds ... and Sirius was going to make the best of it, damn it.

At the tiny kitchen table, a chocolate cake waited with candles poking out of it in almost every direction, casting a yellow glow over the small pile of presents on the foot of Remus's bed.

Four seconds.

Three seconds.

Two seconds.

Sirius leaned closer, sitting on the bed and nuzzled the side of Remus's neck, kissing him.

"Mooonyyy ..."
