Peter was only a few minutes late as he walked through the restaurant. The hostess greeted him in Italian, then English, but Peter spoke back in Italian, asking her if someone had arrived and described him. A moment later and Peter was taking a seat across from Michael. "Grazie bella." He nodded with a smile to the hostess who giggled and smiled back in return before walking off.
Peter turned to Michael and shrugged off his jacket. "Hey. Sorry if you've been waiting long. Had to finish up this thing at the museum."
"You work at the museum? I didn't know that. Assumed you worked with your father." He gave a cursory nod, smiling. "I haven't been waiting long, no. "Have a seat. Let's order first then you can tell me all about what happened to Walter.
Peter chuckled as he sat and shook his head. "No. No, working with Walter is sort of a part-time thing and more out of necessity than want." Didn't want the man to blow up the village now, did we?
No. Of course not. There were enough things happening in the village already to add a mad scientist to the list.
Michael smiled. "You're a good man, Peter." And Michael could relate. He'd do anything for his brother and his father, especially now that he remembered his father and how he was the one that saved him from that awful foster father he had who kept locking him in a dark closet.
Michael held up his menu and opened it, perusing while casting glances Peter's way. "I'm glad to see you're all right. I've never met anyone who knew anyone who disappeared. Never seen anyone disappeared myself." He peered over the edge of the menu to regard Peter, gauge if he was really all right.
